Grappling

Our grappling style is a mixture of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Combat Submission Wrestling (which, in turn, is an eclectic mix of BJJ, catch wrestling, Sambo, Shoot Wrestling, Judo, freestyle wrestling, and so on). Grappling is excellent for cardio, core strength, flexibility, and self-defense, in addition to being great for self-confidence, comradery, and developing the ability to relax under pressure (literal and metaphorical). Coach Robert is known for his gentle, student-centered approach that emphasizes core concepts, fundamental techniques, and context-based learning.
